Vasectomy Procedures

There is currently very high demand for vasectomy procedures across Derbyshire. Unfortunately, we have been informed that Derby and Derbyshire ICB (who commission local NHS services) have run out of funding for vasectomies this financial year. As a result, we are unable to refer you for this procedure at present as no funding is available. If you have already been referred, then you may be contacted to be advised that funding for your procedure has now been withdrawn (even if you have had an initial assessment and pre-op at the hospital).

We have been assured that the ICB is working together with local providers to develop a long-term, sustainable solution for vasectomy provision that better meets the needs of Derbyshire residents in the future.
