IMPORTANT – Changes to SystmOnline

Posted on:

We are making some changes to the way you can contact Arthur Medical Centre via online systems, to help us provide an efficient service to our patients.

There are currently 3 ways that you can communicate with us online:

· Through our website, using the ‘Contact Us Online’ link

· Through using the NHS App

· Via SystmOnline Patient Online Services

What is changing from 1st July 2025?

From 1st July 2025, you will no longer be able to use SystmOnline Patient Online Services to send general messages, or administrative or medical requests to the practice. You will also no longer receive responses or other messages from the practice through this route.

You will still be able to request prescriptions via SystmOnline Patient Online Services and use this to view your medical record.

Why is this changing?

We want to improve the way you can communicate with the practice, and to improve the services we provide to you. Focussing all of our online patient communications through these two routes make this easier for us to achieve.

How will I be able to send these requests or messages from 1st July?

You will be able to send and receive messages and administrative or medical requests to the practice via the Contact us Online link on our website. The practice will respond to you via SMS text message to your phone.

You can also use the NHS App to send a message or request to the practice. Information about the NHS app is available at https://www.nhs.uk/nhs-app/about-the-nhs-app/

The NHS app is available to download via the Apple App Store, or via Google Play. Simply log into the app and go to ‘Services’ in the menu at the bottom of the screen, then select the most appropriate reason for your contact. The practice will respond to your query via SMS text message to your phone.
